East and West Research

In the comparative literature field, East and West research is broad intercultural, transcultural, and interdisciplinary research that breaks beyond the fundamental Western assumptions and thinking paradigms. Such research compares Western philosophic ideas, literary representations, and religious symbols to their perception in ancient Eastern cultures, especially in India, China, and Japan.
